Join us in supporting an incredible charity: Ocean Heroes
Date: Wednesday 24th March, 2021
Time: 6pm – 10pm.
Location: Victory Lounge | Optus Stadium
333 Victoria Park Drive, Burswood
We’ll be announcing two more charities for the event soon!
Ocean Heroes was formed by Sam Moyle, Luke Hallam and Tom Johnston in 2016.
Kids growing up with autism face unique challenges that can make it difficult for them to develop self-confidence and make friends. Learning to surf offers a fun, healthy way for children to develop that confidence, boost their mood and make connections with others.
Ocean Heroes provide an opportunity for children on the autistic spectrum to take part in organised sport backed by a highly supported, safe and inclusive environment. By running events and one-on-one surfing lessons, they offer every kid the chance to experience the thrill of riding a wave.
10×10 PERTH is powered by a group of young professionals who have volunteered their time and resources to launch a crowdfunding event to support charities doing compelling community work.
10×10 connects volunteers at a local community level and together they produce live crowdfunding ‘Shark Tank’ style events which are attended by 100+ people. Each committee identifies three grassroots charities and invites them to pitch for funds from the event audience.
The event is supported by 10×10 – a 100% volunteer run organisation working to empower a new generation of passionate philanthropists and create a sustainable movement for grassroots giving.
Optus Stadium was voted the Most Beautiful Sports Facility in the World in the Prix Versailles 2019 international architecture awards.
Optus Stadium is owned by the Western Australian State Government and proudly operated by VenuesLive. Construction of the venue began in December 2013, with the Stadium officially opening on Sunday 21 January 2018.
The Stadium and the surrounding Park is located east of the Perth Central Business District, on the Burswood Peninsula. With views of the picturesque Swan River and Perth city in the west and the foothills in the east, this 60,000 seat, world-class, multi-purpose Stadium hosts a variety of sports and entertainment events, including Australian Football League, International and Big Bash League cricket, soccer, rugby league and union, plus concerts.
Looking for a way to get more meaningfully involved with your community?
Here’s how you can get involved with Ocean Heroes.
As an Ocean Heroes volunteer, you have the option of helping out on the beach (registrations, donning wetsuits and lifejackets, handing out certificates etc.) or in the water (surfing with participants, an extra help around the participants and their paired surfer).
To be a volunteer, it is favourable to have a current Working With Children permit and First Aid certification.
We’re currently looking for sponsors!
Sponsorship opportunities include in-kind sponsorship, event sponsorship, major donors or donation matching.
You can help make a difference while expanding your network and brand awareness to an engaged millenial audience.
