The Social Purpose Organisations

Big Brothers Big Sisters Auckland supports whānau, families and communities to see their young people thrive. Their aim is to make a  positive difference in the lives of children and youth through professionally supported, mentoring relationships. They facilitate the selection, training, development of our network of volunteer mentors across the country. These volunteers are match with a young person  for a minimum of one year.

Kenzie’s Gift supports the mental health of tamariki (children), mātātahi (young people) and families affected by serious illness or bereavement. We do this by providing one on one therapy with registered mental health professionals, grief kits and an extensive online resource. Kenzie’s Gift mission is to create a brighter future for young Kiwis affected by cancer, serious illness or bereavement by supporting good mental health and ensuring no young Kiwi faces serious illness or grief alone.

The Kindness Institute exists to empower marginalised communities in Aotearoa, to support wellbeing, through movement and mindfulness, community and leadership. We strive to create equity in wellbeing through our mahi (work) that is financially accessible, is grounded in te ao Māori and focuses on extensive, long-lasting change within the communities we serve. Their vision is for every young person in Aotearoa to have the tools to overcome challenges, improve their wellbeing and live a meaningful life.
