About HUNGRY MONK RESCUE TRUCK
The Hungry Monk Rescue Truck is a New York City based Homeless Outreach and Community Response Vehicle (CRV). Inspired by the Benedictine command of Hospitality for “all who knock at the door”, the Hungry Monk Crew aims to “Do Good” for people experiencing homelessness. By moving the mission out to the streets, the Hungry Monk Rescue Truck has the ability to deliver quality hot meals and bring immediate comfort and care to those who are in most need.
Join us to fundraise to help the HMRT grow to further meet the needs of the most in need people of New York City and to be prepared for future crises. Also, we hope to increase awareness of the organization in order to expand the volunteer pool and staff the food pantry and provide necessary professional support to scale up the operation.
True to our mission, we seek to support grassroots charities doing the meaningful work within communities. 10×10 VOLUNTEERS have (remotely) coordinated this fundraising campaign to help the HMRT expand their operations and provide more resources to the most vulnerable members of the community who are facing hardship and homelessness.
You can get involved by joining one of our free activities below, or by volunteering or donating!
