Laurence Marshbaum OAM

Laurence founded 10×10 in 2013 following a life-long affiliation with communal involvement and philanthropy, having served on the boards of several not-for-profits in Australia and the UK.

Some of Laurence’s roles in this respect have included:

  • Founder of Young Division of the One to One Childrens Fund (London);
  • Chair Y-UJIA (London);
  • Chair Y-JCA (Sydney); and
  • Founding member of JCA Jumpstart

Further, Laurence has been a key-note speaker at the Nexus Global Youth Summit at the United Nations in New York, and the Social Good Summit in Australia, is a graduate of the AICD, a Reality Impact Fellow, and has been featured on several “giving” podcasts and books. He is an advocate for new models of philanthropy, social impact and effective giving.

Laurence is currently a Portfolio Manager – Alternative Strategies at Australian Retirement Trust in Sydney, managing a A$3b portfolio of direct and fund investments and co-investments. Laurence sits on the Investment Committee for Australian Retirement Trust‘s socially conscious balanced option. Prior to joining Australian Retirement Trust in 2012, Laurence spent 5 years in London working in fund of funds investment management.
